During the pandemic, founder Vipul became frustrated by costly, disposable nonstick cookware that quickly lost its effectiveness. Beyond their poor durability, he learned that many nonstick coatings especially those made from PTFE or PFOA can release toxic fumes when overheated and may leach microplastics or forever chemicals into food. His research led him back to durable, healthier materials like cast iron, carbon steel, stainless steel, and copper options that not only lasted but also avoided the health risks associated with synthetic coatings.

Earlier in life, shaving sparked a similar realization. The cycle of disposable razor cartridges and canned shaving cream felt wasteful and unnecessarily expensive. Digging deeper, Vipul discovered that many shaving creams contain synthetic fragrances, parabens, and other chemical irritants that can harm sensitive skin or disrupt hormonal balance. He switched to traditional shaving soap, a brush, and a double-edge razor—enjoying a healthier shave with less waste and fewer questionable ingredients.
